    I think the wood surface looks great. If possible, I would stain the whole deck to one color, the darker is nicer, in my opinion. Great job. Both videos were well done. I would like to see if mortar mix would have been better for smoothing than the Portland cement. Gerry

    I can't seem to find any videos of the one I have. Yes I have the flat batteries- CR2032, however mine are not beside but on top of each other- providing there are two. But there is No screw. They are incased in a round device nd it looks like it hakes some sort of wrench to open it.

    It may help in assymbly and operation to use a bit of plumbers grease or silicone grease on the shaft at the packing washer and the helix threads on the other end. This will also stop that weird squeak/rattle sound you get when you open and close the faucet from metal on metal chatter.

    Install a long gas supply hose? Didja test microwave before reinstalling stove?

  • @joemorales6639
    @joemorales6639 День назад

    I didn't have the guts to mess with the gas lines so I left the range in place and put some plywood over the range and adjacent counters. I could kneel on the plywood and install the wall hanger and drill the holes in the cabinet above. Setting the microwave on the plywood and boosting it up to the hanger was the harder part, but I think it's the easiest way to do it without another set of hands.

    Thanks man! Great job explaining everything. The only thing I would emphasize a bit more is to hold the faucet tightly as you snug the main nut back on to the faucet body. I say this because the copper welds, if stress too much may create minor fractures on the welded joints. You know what you’re doing but some people are just learning how to and can accidentally twist the body a little too much create a major fracture and then end up with a leak on one of the joint welds. Thank again for posting this. I forgot all the steps and is how I end up looking you up.

    I have a couple Kreg jigs and I like them and use them a fair bit but I also saw the carpenter on This Old House do this exact thing and it's freaking brilliant. Thanks for the video. One thing - those construction or drywall screws that have the conical head can pull through the "pocket" and split the wood. Better off with a flat, "cabinet screw."

    Nice house and nice job with the screens. I'm gonna be looking into those screens for my house. I have one big window in particular off a breakfast area that gets blasted with direct sun during the afternoon, as well as several bedroom windows that also get direct sun. I have interior blinds and curtains, but I think adding the solar panels will stil help by deflecting the direct heat from the sun these windows are exposed to, and maybe I won't have to keep the blinds and curtains closed after installing the panels. By the way, I have that same ladder. It's very sturdy and easy to carry around then fold up and hang on a wall when you're through using it. Perfect size for anything in the house or garage. I've owned it for probably 15 yeaars and use it more than any of the 4 ladders I own.

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 4 дня назад

      Thank you! We were in pretty much the same situation with out rooms and windows. I can confirm that now with the screens we can leave the shades open and the direct sun doesn't heat the rooms up nearly as much as without the screens. Slightly less visibility out the windows from the inside but it is worth it IMO. The screens also give more privacy from people seeing in from the outside as well. Yes I agree, it is a great little step ladder and by far the most used ladder around my house too. I've had it so long I don't know how old it is but likely about the same as yours :)

    Totally unsafe and against code. Don't try to sell your house anytime soon because they are going to make you fix it. Try lowering your sensors down to 6 inches like they are supposed to instead of 10 or add a shade block above the eye. Lastly store your junk somewhere and move your photo eyes back.

    • @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10
      @DIYHomesteadProjectsDIYHP10 7 дней назад

      Too late, sold that house this year. The sensor relocation wasn't even on the report from the inspection. It's only unsafe if you don't have a brain. If it becomes a problem at my new home I'll do exactly the same thing again. If my sensors were mounted too high as you mention, that's on the "professional installer" that installed the opener. The previous owner had problems with this door as well. I cured the problem and the opener worked flawlessly once I made the modification I show in the video. It was nice to have a garage door opener that would work when you hit the button.

    He made A good video on how not to do it? Due to ground movement. You need a minimum of 3 inches cement. You should prep the area using bass rock and it should be compact down with a Jack plate. Your Rebar should be Criss. Cross. And wire tied together. And use spacing blocks to raise it. Off the ground. To the mid area. Always do your homework. Watch More than 1 video. Some videos are very helpful on the right way. How to do things? You can tell the videos that people don't have a clue. Do your homework. Do your homework. And do your homework. Before you start your project

    I did a 13 x 8 foot wet-pour pad by myself and it was less work than this. The screening took a whole 10 minutes, bull float another 10 minutes, then after waiting about an hour or so I mag floated for 30 minutes. What is so hard about adding water before?

    Needs a tighter arc length and travel speed is too slow, you shouldn't really have to to side to side on something like that just a steady smooth slight forward and backwards, forward an 1/8" backwards 1/16" no pausing... if it's not covering the joint, then your amperage is too low. If it's cooking the joint, then your travel speed is too slow

    That is one thing nice about the big expensive welders. They only run the fan when they have been used for a while and need cooling vs the little ones running the fan most or all of the time.
